Jennie Smith-Peers

Jennie Smith-Peers is the executive director of the National Center for Creative Aging, an award –winning service organization dedicated to fostering the creativity of older people. She has over a decade of experience in developing inclusive cultural access for older adults and individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer’s to theaters, museums, parks, and entertainment venues.  

Highlights:

  • In 2012, she developed an accessible European tour for her mother who has multiple sclerosis.
  • Serves as co-chair for Age Friendly NYC arts, media and culture committee which is developing a set of guidelines for cultural institutions to help them make their spaces and programming more inclusive of older people.
  • She is a sought after keynote speaker on creative aging
